A dead silence fell across the room that seemed to last for an hour before the Bandit King finally spoke up...

"WELL FIGURED. clever bard..I'm actually impressed you figured pout my FORMER identity!" The Bandit King responded at last, "however, I should have figured you wouldn't be so gutsy, being the ONLY ONE in many an adventurer to even ATTEMPT tracking donw the lost Princesses." He...er..SHE...stood, clapping her hands, "MY BROTHERS! Come and remove your hoods! We must honor our clever GUESTS by showing we not fear them knowing out identities!"

And with that, the entire hall of bandits removed their masks, showing an entire crowd of beings of all races, shapes and sizes from across the land. Some Silver and Wallien recognized, others they didn't...
But it was the Prince-er, PRINCESS who's unmasking caught Wallien's eye. Instantly, the Bard found himself staring into, what in his mind, was the most beautiful Star Muse's eyes of mysterious black, with pink fur and hair wrapped down in a braid...a brave, Princess warrior, who, in his mind, was shining like the sun...

"YES....this is my TRUE identity...King Chai, FORMER heir of King Alfred...and leader of the Fallen Star Bandits!"

As Wallien stared at her, lost to her (in his mind) captive beauty and majesty, he didn't hear a voice calling him...

"Wallien? ....WALLIEEEEEEN? HEEELLLLOOOOOO? .....WAKE UP!"

Her Hoof to his face finally snapped Wallien out of his trance. Wallien only reacted with a shake of his head and blinking in surprise. Chai blinked, kinda creeped out by his odd attention towards her...

"Erm....YEAH..as I was saying...YOU TWO are our...GUESTS...but ONLY for your OWN PROTECTION AND GOOD!"

"WHA-? WHAT protection!? We can take care of ourselves lady-!" Silver retorted, only stopping when two bandits stepped forward to protect Chai, only for Chai to signal them back as she hopped down from her throne, walking towards them

"YES, well, we take out job as protectors VERY seriously, and-WILL YOU STOP STARING AT ME!?" She suddenly SNAPPED at Wallien, smacking him across the cheek-! Wallien blinked, un-phased verses the reaction Chai THOUGHT he would have...

"Oh, I'm sorry yer highness! What were ya sayin'" Wallien asked. Chai blinked before letting out an exasperated sigh, dragging Wallien and Silver into a nearby planning room for privacy

"OKAY, NOW that I HOPEFULLY have your UNDIVIDED attention, hear me out" Chai whispered, leaning over them on a chair, "I know you think you're helping this Kingdom by helping King Alfred...but you're NOT. HE'S the reason those peasants you want to help are miserable! WE, the Fallen Star Bandits, use everything in our power to protect and help them...even if it means breaking rules along the way."

"But the King seemed so honest about th' whole matter-" Wallien started..

"AH AH AH!! not EVERYONE that puts on a sweet face is HONEST, Bard," Chai said, placing a finger to his lips, "and the King is nothing more then a selfish, low life MANIPULATOR-"

"I KNEW THERE WAS SOMETHIN' FISHY ABOUT THAT GUY!" Silver growled, hooves digging into the dirt

"Ah, SEE? Your travelling companion here has good instincts! NOW...I tell you this so you can GET THE GLORN'S FRICKIN' HAY DAY out of here and let US handle our own problems!" Chai advised

"But-" Wallien started-

:AH-AH-AH! NO BUTTS! WE handle evil two-timing Kings, YOU TWO go on your merry happy-making way! Now..I know a short cut out of the Kingdom right under the King's nose...I'll tell you about it when I get back from my meeting..until then DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING! I'll be right back!" With that, Chai strolled out of the room, her cape flowing behind her, making Wallien sigh and nearly melt into a goopy puddle.

"Ugh, Wallien, DON'T START" Silver groaned

"I CAN'T HELP IT...she's AMAZZZZIIIIIN'!" Wallien sighed dreamily...

and that was followed by Silver pinning him and firmly saying, 'LOOK..WALLIEN. you've had GIRL FRIEND AFTER GIRLFRIEND in the past and it's NEVER worked out! A free-lovin' guy like you CAN'T go fallin' for every girl ya see, it isn't healthy-!"

"But SILVER...CHAI'S NOT a GIRL! ...She's a WOMAN!"He sighed again, "An AMAZING, STRONG. POWERFUL....Siiiiiigh.."

Silver groaned, "Oh GEEZ, you've got it even WORSE then before-! Okay, look, that's not even the point! You heard what she said! We should just accept their short cut and GET THE FRICK OUTTA HERE!"

"NO! Even if Princess Chai WEREn'T the strongest, most majestic woman in all Yonderlore, I CAN'T leave! WE can't leave! I made a promiseto help the people of this Kingdom, and I ain't goin' til' they're a smiling again!" Wallien said, striking a stance, arms folded and chest puffed out

"...WALLLLLIIIEEEEENNNN.." Silver whined, knowing that when the Bard got like this, there was NO talking him out of it; "UGH...okay, FINE. I'll..think of SOMETHING to get us to stay...but NO. FLIRTING. Unless ya want these 'good guy' bandits ta slice us up into a stew!"

"YYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEESSSUM!" Wallien happily saluted her, "Don't ya worry Sillv! I got a feelin' we ain't a dealin' with regular royalty here! ...There's more to the "princesses' story then meets the eye..."
